L&S at the InnoTrans 2022

L&S will once again be exhibiting at the new date of the leading international trade fair for transport technology InnoTrans from September 20 to 23, 2022.

We are looking forward to your visit at our booth 490, hall 25.

84 tonnes of L&S high-tech on the way to its destination in Taiwan

After working at full speed on the completion of another large-scale machine at L&S in recent weeks and making the final fine-tuning with the client, the RGM 2-24 rail grinding machine was made ready for shipment last week after two years of construction. Since yesterday, the machine has been waiting in the harbour for its sea crossing by container ship to Asia.

In 2019, L&S was successful in winning this extremely demanding mechanical engineering contract from the Taiwanese customer THSRC in an open competition. The result was the largest and most powerful RGM 2-24 special machine to date, on which the Thuringian machine builders were able to demonstrate their high level of technical expertise. With this new machine, L&S has set another milestone for innovative track and switch maintenance in this market segment, which is highly competitive worldwide. Among other things, the machine sets new standards for resource-saving track maintenance while guaranteeing the highest requirements in terms of environmental protection and occupational safety as well as ease of operation and performance. When the machine is in operation at the customer's site in Taiwan in a few months' time, there will still be a direct connection to the manufacturer, L&S: the L&S Remote Control System, which has been established for years, enables online data exchange between the machine control and the L&S head office. In this way, important information for targeted "predictive maintenance" can be analysed and transmitted to the operator for action.

With great effort and commitment on the part of the L&S staff, pandemic-related restrictions and supply bottlenecks of important individual components in the manufacturing process could be absorbed. All those involved in the project are therefore delighted to have brought the machine on the long (sea) journey to its destination on time and are now looking forward to its safe arrival at the port of destination at the end of September 2021.

Innotrans 2022

Due to the continuing critical situation surrounding the Corona pandemic worldwide, InnoTrans - which has already been postponed from September 2020 to April 2021 - can no longer be planned with any certainty for exhibitors, visitors and organisers. Messe Berlin has decided to postpone InnoTrans again. The next InnoTrans will therefore take place at the next regular exhibition date from 20 - 23 September 2022.

L&S at Innotrans 2018

L&S exhibited again this year at the world's largest trade fair for rail technology, this time for the first time also on the outdoor area. Our MIV 1-25 -  designed and built as an  inspection vehicle for Monrail - was a real eye-catcher.

In the 20th year of its existence, our company also invited its partners and customers to an anniversary reception.
